Re: mistake where?
I don't see anything interesting or problematic here. You limped in early position with a mid-pocket, called a raise playing for set value, missed the flop, and check-folded. Seems pretty standard to me.

Also, I'm wondering if certain winning players would lead out on flop or CR the flop bet because I may be ahead. |

Re: mistake where?
I guess game theory dictates a bluff raise on this flop some % of the time. If you think he is a good player there is more reason to do it. It's not anything I usually do, however. It's pretty tough to push reraisers off of hands on ragged boards, in my experience.
It's pretty unlikely that you're ahead. Also, I am not sure how much your cards matter in this situation, since you won't ever see a showdown if you're ahead, right? |

Re: mistake where?
Under specific table conditions, all of those plays (especially folding to the raise preflop or leading the flop) could be +EV, but with no other info, this seems like a normal default line.

Re: mistake where?
You bet flop if he raises back at you, you have two options, all in or fold. He certianly did not hit that flop, he is raising with his position. The only thing he could have is a over pair, thats why you have to bet at this flop to see how strong he really is.

Re: mistake where?
Routinely betting OOP w/o a hand into a preflop raiser = chip spewing.

Re: mistake where?
routinely checking the best hand and then folding = weak/passive play.
The villian did not hit that board. A bet from early position on this board should scare off people or show their real strength. |

Re: mistake where?
Yeah, and this isn't limit. Raises in NL don't usually mean AQ, AJ, KQ or some other hand that Hero might be beating. Does Hero's line mean that he sometimes folds a winner to AK? Of course, but so what?
