Re: How do you treat people in low limit games with shades?
My goal is to take their money. Nothing was worse than sitting at a 3/6 table and seeing some guy put on sunglasses. For some reason it just makes me immediately want to win pots off of them.

I laugh at them with my inside voice. Then I put on my shades and announce that my future is bright, so I gotta wear shades too.

I almost didn't post this because I am terrified of your cat. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I wonder if they think they're getting a read off of me when I'm actually just trying to hold back laughter. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Laugh to myself, then take their money at every chance I get. [/ QUOTE ] Everyone is laughing to themselves. Doesn't anyone laugh out loud at the moneymaker-oakley-staredown guys? I know I probably would. |

Its not exactly the shades that bother me that much if for some reason I find myself in a 2/4 or 3/6 game or something. Its the Moneymaker stare with the shades on that upset me.
"You are in the big blind sir, seat two has raised, it will be two more dollars to play" and the hand goes to the chin and I am getting stared down by someone in stupid Oakley's over half the price of a value meal. |

Yeah, it's actually the stare/hand-chin move that's more aggravating than the shades themselves. I wonder if they think they're getting a read off of me when I'm actually just trying to hold back laughter.

My favorite part is that they pick up the whole shades thing from TV, but most of the TV players I really respect don't wear shades. Ivey, Lederer, Negreanu, Brunson, Cloutier, Chan, Nguyen, etc. No shades among them. I'm trying to think of a TV player I like who wears shades. There's Greg Raymer, of course, but I'm not coming up with many others.
As an aside, I wonder how often Greg wears the shades these days. When I saw him playing limit at Foxwoods, he wasn't. |

I'm trying to think of a TV player I like who wears shades. [/ QUOTE ] The only guy I remotely respect that wears shades is Chris Ferguson. But then he's Jesus, so he can do what he wants and always be cool. |

Ditto on Luske.
I also feel like he wears the upside-down shades half as a joke on everyone else wearing them. |
