Party & Skins breakup
Man, this event has made a total mess of my forum, especially since all threads on the issue are off topic.
I eventually decided to make one of them an official thread and locked about 13 other threads, and moved 2 more rakeback threads. Then I stickied a link to the official thread. Good solution?

It most likely is a good solution.
I did the same thing during the WSOP main event (in the WPT forum). A few posters bitched about it. But, a vast majority seemed to agree and I thought it actually stimulated discussion more. This Party/Empire thing is REALLY HYPER-MEGA-HUGE. It's not surprising people are reacting like this.
