Party Poker (6 max, 5 handed) converter

1 fold.

UTG limps, fold, I raise, SB calls, BB calls

4 to the flop

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)

SB checks, BB checks, UTG bets, I call, SB folds, BB calls.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)

UTG bets, I raise, BB 3 bets, UTG calls, I cap, call, call

River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)

I think you should raise the flop for all of the following reasons:

-You have a big draw and overcards which may be good, and have enough equity from those that if the pot stays three-handed you are probably making money on every dollar that goes in.

-You may still have the best hand, particularly if UTG is betting a worse flush draw.

-Raising may encourage others to fold better hands and clean up some of your outs (hands like AJ and AQ may fold).

-You may buy yourself the option of taking a free card on the turn.

And so on an so forth... as long as they both shall live...

As played, turn raise is good. River sucks as there's almost 17 bets in the pot by this point. In a heads-up pot you need to call here, and even in a three-handed pot I'm calling pretty liberally, particularly if I'm closing the action. In your spot I may well be calling with the intent of folding if it's raised behind me. You could well be up against an overpair and a flush or even two flushes, or a straight or some junk...

I wouldn't have capped the turn on this paired board.

Also, with no read, I'm calling this river. It's a big pot, and a small percentage of the time, I think he has a smaller flush or an overplayed overpair to the board.

Just realized I posted in the wrong forum sorry about that.

I didn't raise the flop here for two reasons (which I should have posted initially but I was frustrated at my lack of a proper hand converter) SB was very aggressive and somewhat tight, and I figured that forcing him to call two cold would only result in him folding or re raising and thinning my field.

I agree with the heads up evaluation, furthermore I would have called if SB bets out on the river even if there was an over call. It was the change in the betting here, my concern is I don't believe I'm going to be ahead in this situation more than 1 out of 30 times or so and therefore I believe it may be wrong to call?

Meh I dunno. Thanks for the advice, the above is just my logic with it

6 max game, I'm capping this turn without a second thought, I think not capping the turn is jumping at shadows.
