Default LV people--where should I stay during the WSOP?

Hi,

I know this is in the wrong forum; the B&M forum is much less frequently visited, and I know you guys hang out here, so please give me a pass this time.

I'm coming to Vegas for 2-4 weeks in Jun/Jul, for the Series, of course. I can't afford the Rio (and for all I know, they're booked solid already); what hotels that are not dives are near it? Any general recommendations? I've heard about people renting apartments for a month, instead of a hotel room. Anyone done that, or know who to ask about it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Cero

P.S. I can stay at El Cortez: 14 nights for $366. How would that be?

I would think apt is the way to go, but otherwise I'd just stay on the strip and cab it over.
