The only interesting thing about this hand is your ridiculous flop bet...keep them coming

Your hand is practically unbeatable...

Do you want him to get off easy with a hand like KK-JJ?
Do you want to force the SB out of the hand(if the PFR raises)?

You're advocating slowplaying trips with an ace already out ??

Grunch.

What hands does an 8% raiser raise in EP that he DOESN'T cap with pre-flop? (unless he's being tricky)

KQ, AQ, AJ, ATs, TT, 99, 88, 77. That may be fair I would guess. I know I cap, most often, AK, AA, KK, QQ, JJ. (And if he's being tricky, you can add these into the mix)

Given that thought, what would a 1.19 AF wait until the turn to raise? A set or 2-pair I would guess. I would think he had AQ if I was to guess specifically.

Sadly, if there was a 3rd player in, I'm 3-betting that turn. Being I'm putting in 1/2 the money, and I'm not sure at this point I'm going to win 1/2 the time, I'm just calling down. WA/WB.

Grunch again.

Wow, this second hand is brutal, to me at least.

3-bet from the SB? Wow.

I prefer this line myself,

MP3 raises, Hero folds.

Or this one:

MP3 raises, hero call, BB calls.

Hero checks, BB checks, MP3 bets, Hero folds.

In the first, I lose 1/2 SB, in the second, I lose 2 SB.

The small blind sucks because it costs you 1 1/2 to call a raise, AND you are totally out of position, even to the damn BB.

The way you played it, with that flop, I check/call, check/call, bet.

Okay, here's the playout for the first hand.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, UTG+1 raises, 5 folds, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 raises, Hero 3-bets, UTG+1 calls.

River: (10.25 BB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+1 calls.

Final Pot: 12.25 BB

Results in white below:
Hero has Ad Kc (one pair, aces).
UTG+1 has 9h Ah (one pair, aces).
Outcome: Hero wins 12.25 BB.

I see now that my turn 3-bet was bad mojo, but oh well. Villain's play is...interesting to say the least--I don't hate the PFR since we're 8 handed at any rate.

The pre-flop aggressor was on your left and is a TAG and did any ISO-raise that pretty much worked. This is a PERFECT time for a check-raise. Why are we trying to force out the SB?

Hero Checks, MP2 bets, SB calls, Hero RAISES, MP2 Calls, SB calls.

Then the worst card in the world falls and it's time to bet/call, check/call. Most likely though, I'd have him on an ace, so I'd check/call, check/call and see if I can show down a winner or not.

With your straight bet-out into the preflop raiser, you give him too much incentive to get away from his hand because the pot is still small. Like it was said before, if he ISO-raised with KK, QQ, or JJ, your donkbet is telling him either, I limped an ace, or I'm repping the Ten and not afraid of your ace. KK, QQ, and JJ (Or any other pair for that matter) don't even have close to the odds to call your donkbet.

Sure you slow down AK, AQ and AJ with your check-raise, but hopefully you get SB to put in 2 bets that way. If he even puts in one, it's fine.

If you're gonna checkraise you need to fold to the 3-bet.
