Default Iffy call shortly after rebuy phase, or no?

Given his push, I can't put him on a big pair like QQ-AA, and I doubt he'd shove that hard with AK. So I figure I'm likely a coinflip to a mid pair and I call.

Paradise Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (9 handed) converter

MP3 (t18310)
CO (t5985)
Hero (t17015)
SB (t4420)
BB (t16120)
UTG (t4345)
UTG+1 (t16000)
MP1 (t4825)
MP2 (t6390)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of t100.
UTG calls t200, 1 fold, MP1 calls t200, 1 fold, MP3 calls t200, 1 fold, Hero raises to t900, SB (poster) raises to t4420, 1 fold, UTG folds, MP1 folds, MP3 folds, Hero calls t3520.

Flop: (t9640) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)

Turn: (t9640) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)

River: (t9640) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: t9640

Of course there were lots of comments at the table about how horrible a call it was. Personally I don't think so.

Whats your opinion?

Oh and anyone not like the raise on the button after 3 limpers? (I love it)

uhhh... what? he has 4500 and you made it 900. what's he going to do besides shove?

i like the initial raise, but i hate the call. you need to be ~37% to call. you're ~47% against 88 and ~23% against AQ+ / QQ+ (i'm just guessing on that number). you need to be up against 88ish significantly more often than AQ+ / QQ+, which is wishful thinking.

Seconded. He could *easily* be shoving with AK, why wouldn't he? AQ would do it too. Both hands have you destroyed.

You're beat by basically any ace, and a flip to any pair. Villian could easily have 99/TT/JJ here where you're on the bad side of a flip.

I don't know why you're overvaluing KQs so much.

There is over 6k in the pot and its only 3.5k to call. I like it especially if you think he isn't pushing AA/KK usually here. Also calling might have some meta-game advantages.
