Default 10 Rules for a successfull Thanksgiving

1.Be Comfortable, wear a T-shirt and Zubaz or sweatpants. You'll be comfortable and if you spill anything, no big deal.

2.Set the Air Conditioning to 65 degrees. It might be cold at first, but everybody will thank you later in the night.

3.Schedule your meal around football. Eat at either halftime or between games.

4.Thanksgiving is about enjoying food and enjoying what you like. Focus on the foods you like. If you really like Turkey get a big plate full of Turkey, you don't need to sample all 17 dishes.

5.Don't drink Pop or Beer during your meal, it fills you up. Drink water, so you can maximize your consumption of food

6. Don’t feel like your imposing to ask for leftovers. To get the most out of your leftovers have dinner at your house, you’ll get all the leftovers.

7.Everybody has that 1 relative they don’t like, sit as far away from this person as possible, you don’t need to be sitting by them.

8.Always go to only 1 house not 2. It’s too much of a problem to go for a meal than drive and go to another one.

9. If you’re hung over, tell everybody your sick. There’s nothing like having your Aunt ask why you’re not feeling good. Plus if you say your sick, people will leave you alone.

10.If you can’t stand losing at gambling, don’t bet on Thanksgiving. You shouldn’t be all pissed off at the Thanksgiving table.

Here is where I disagree. Drinking heavily is the most important part of family holidays. How else are you gonna put up with being around your family all day.

After reading this thread I changed from my dress pants to a pair of bright red PUMA jogging pants. Good move.
