Re: NFC North
I don't know, but being a green-and-gold bleeder, you can be certain I'll be one of the first to stop saying that.

Re: NFC North
[ QUOTE ]
Weeks 9-11, 2004 (Moss-less games) Week 9: 16-19, 169 yds 1 TD, 0 Ints Rating: 121.3 Week 10: 27-44, 363 yds 4 TD, 0 Ints Rating: 117.9 Week 11: 22-32, 233 yds 2 TD, 1 Int Rating: 97.5 I don't get where this pedestrian crap comes from. [/ QUOTE ] Let's add in the other two games where Moss really didn't play (the ones with no catches where he was inserted just to keep his starting streak alive) too, shall we? 1TD, 0INT's, 183 yards 1TD, 2INT's, 231 yards. That's an average of a "mere" 1.8 TD's a game. Compare that to his average with moss in the lineup of 2.7TDs. And with his all-time "great" fumbling problem, his 1.8TD/game average is decidedly mediocre and certainly not indicative of the dominant offense you are suggesting they have. BTW, let's not forget the most important stat, 2-3 in those 5 games, with the two wins being *at home* against two of the worst teams in the NFL that season (Tennessee and Detroit) |

Re: NFC North
Culpepper isn't sucking because he doesn't have time. The currently crappy running game may hurt Culpepper and the MN passing attack, but Culpepper has had plenty of time today and just isn't finding anyone.

I'd still take the Vikings vs. field in the NFC North. [/ QUOTE ] How much? |

[/ QUOTE ] Well, yeah - it isn't just on Culpepper, though. The Vikings last year were a pretty damned good rushing team. |

BTW, let's not forget the most important stat, 2-3 in those 5 games, [/ QUOTE ] OK, but two of the three losses were at GB and at Indy (where he put up 28 and 31 respectively). I honestly can't remember...how much of the Tennessee game was Moss hurt for? I know he played a good chunk of the NYG game, but will concede it was pointless for him to be on the field that week. |

You lost your chance when you welched on my Cowboys bet.
Erm...welch isn't the word, but you get my jist. I'll put a fin on it though. I'd put more on, but I don't want to have an honest interest in MN finishing well. |

Re: NFC North
Randy Moss single handedly made the Vikings a good run team.
The opposing defenses could never put 8 men in the box because of Randy Moss. Now without Moss, the safeties are creeping up, and the Vikings cant do anything. |

Re: NFC North
Parroting non-Joe Buck FOX announcers in legitimate football debate will get you nowhere. We all saw the cute little display the announcer put up where he shaded over the safety to cover Moss.
What's more important in a running game? Keeping one safety back 2-5 extra yards off the line, or losing a pro-bowl center? |
