I can see pushing him all in on the flop easily.

It would be hard to say you played this wrong, when you hit your hand (tptk) and got all of your opponents chips in.

Of course there is a chance he hit a set on the flop and you're dead in the water. If this is the case, there is not much you can do. If you hold off on your flop & turn raises and just call, you may save some money. However, if this is the case, all of the chips are getting in by the river.

I was thinkin the same. However, one thing i noticed is you got your money in on the turn after calling the flop. He reopened the betting for you, youre not getting off the hand, i probably push the flop or raise at least, before a scare card hits for either of you. I dont think youre getting called often but its still early enough for a KQs type hand to be in, though unlikely. Im not sure what cold calls 4x the BB preflop and attacks on that board except another AK or PP that hit a set, but maybe he is just testing you with a hand like TT... if you could get another raise in without committing your stack on the flop that would be optimal, else i guess your hands are tied barring a solid read.

Why did you raise too much preflop?

4x is a bit excessive to raise, especially to open.

I seem to recall you recommending a 3-4x BB raise on the other AK hand... maybe hes stealing with a drawing hand? That makes sense to me...

Reasoning against not raising on the flop, was that i couldn't think of any card that comes next that scares me.. and thought i could get some more of his money in on the turn (just so happens i got all of it in)

Sadly, he ended up shockign me, and showing AA.

Why didn't you hit your third king on the river? That's what I would've done differently.

FWIW, I go broke here almost every time, unless I have extremely specific reads on a player.
