Default Renting a house/condo for a week in Vegas?

A dream come true! The wife, having listened to me talk poker for the last year went on a three-day trip to Vegas and found she LOVES the game. She is insisting on a week-long trip in September. This time, we will be taking the kids (and a college girl who sits for us sometimes) and are looking at two connecting hotel rooms. It seems like a condo or house might be cheaper and a better arrangement. We've done this at the beach, but don't know if Vegas works this way or not (other than timeshares, which seem to have poor EV).

Which brings up a question, who are more annoying in Vegas, the timeshare guys trying to get you to come see a 2-hour presentation, or the guys handing out the "girl to your room in 15 minutes?"

Those people flicking tickets in your face. It is a wonder they don't get thrown out in the street in front of traffic.

I would spend a little time researching timeshares in Vegas. Marriot is building one that looks FANTASTIC behind the Aladin. If you have a friend who owns a timeshare anywhere and is a member of one of the exchange groups he can call up and say he wants to buy a week for you at one of the Vegas locations as a gift. They will give you an indsider's price much better than you could get for a hotel room.

Good Luck.

By the way, you were probably better off before your wife became interested in poker. My wife now comes to the casino with me and sits behind me trying to see my cards, annoying me and making sounds when I lose. She is too nervous to play on her own. If she doesn't quit soon, I'll take up drug abuse instead.

The wife would just as soon play on a different table and has balls of ice. Nothing rattles her.
