Default Blended Scotch - Johnnie Black

I picked up a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black, b/c I've been meaning to try it.

I know single malts should be drunk neat or with a spash of H2O, but does that go for good blends as well?

If I like the single malts, will I like this?

I will drink JW Black on the rocks, or if I'm feeling reeeaaaallly crazy, with soda on the rocks.

Don't drink too much of it and play THAT game with your family, I don't want to read that trip report.

LFS, & El D,

Thanks. I'm going with Ketel One martinis tonight, but I'll report back once I try the Black Label.

good luck, but i find the rocks dilute the taste too much. much prefer JW black neat and maybe with a slice of lemon.

I don't like JW Tony, its a step up above Dewars to me... both are a bit too harsh. I recommend Chivas Regal for a nice blended scotch in the same price point.

Good luck none the less, good to see you exploring.

Drinking it right now on the rocks. Nice and smooth.

I think I prefer the single malts though.

Tone Loc,

I picked up a bottle of that last night on the way to a ***** home game. It is one of my favorite go-to Scotch's, and last night did not disappoint. 3 ice cubes per double(+) and the bottle was dead in 4 hours. I was pretty awesome
