Another question regarding building a table...
I have one last problem with finishing my table. I can not find any "Closed Cell Foam"...i was told to get this because it would hold up longer and would not develop dead spots like other foams. About the only foam i can find is that polyurathane (spell check) foam at any fabric store. Let me know i guess, thanks for any help

Re: Another question regarding building a table...
I'm building a table right now and have been shopping for foam. I found the closed-cell foam you mention locally at an upholstery supply store (look in the yellow pages under, you guessed it, 'upholstery supplies' ). It's 1/4" thick, 60" wide and is just under $12/yard. Expensive, although I'm sure it'd be really hard to wear out.
Hiyever... I found it too dense for my liking. I got a sample of the foam casinosupply.com carries and I may go with that. It's 3/8" thick, much denser than the standard yellow stuff at the fabric stores but not as much so as the closed-cell. Sumpin' to consider. George |

Re: Another question regarding building a table...
You can go to www.knoxfoam.com and they have closed cell foam, 54" or 60" wide and its $5 a linear foot, not cheap.
Hope this helps, Fsuplayer |
