88? Mostly would have raised the flop if they were worried about the flush or raised the turn if they weren't, but a passive player might play a set this way.

Why do you doubt it? AdQh or something of that sort is a hand that gets called in that spot a lot.

By Adx, I meant something like AJo, or AQo, not something like A7o. Also it's 4 handed with at least two aggro smart tricky players (mahatma and gab) don't know about the other guy. Raise, reraise doesn't really mean [censored]. As for Mahatma having AQ, this isn't a full ring game. Like Diablo said, he could have almost anything.

I agree w/ you that it's quite unlikely for a rag offsuit Ace to call there and you are correct that is the shorthand most often used for a small ace (Ax). I just assumed AZK was talking about big offsuit aces here based on the pre-flop call, but that part of your original post makes a lot of sense now.
