I don't want to get drawn into this war, but I have a serious question. What is so bad about reposting someone else's words if you don't stand to benefit?

Since everyone knows they are not his words, and he gets no income (or a grade) like a plagarist would, what is the big deal?

I used the quote function in this post to quote someone else's words, does that make me a plagarizt?

Maybe it matters, but I don't get why.
