Poker jargon is a bit nebulous in areas.

There's one guy I play with that has showed down an Ace-high flush against me when there is a straight flush on the board and he always insists it's the nut flush, and when anyone says, "well, it's not really the nuts..." he'll say he knows it's the nuts as no one raised him on the river.

They did 4 shows of day 1 (they gave Day 1b 2 shows (one concentating on Hellmuth). Regarding the UPC, they may be able to claim that, although most of the channels that carry it do it in non-prime hours (like Midnight and after on the weekends). Also in some cases, they're paying for the channel (like WGN) to air the episode, treating it like an infomercial.

It's 5k max, although if they go broke, after the 2nd time they can buyin for 10k.

Bart, I seriously doubt Tiffany was trying to pull an angle. Regarding the KJh hand, she did say that she took down a large pot with that hand and it seemed to influence her decision to think about it. I'd suggest you look at the posts she has made (her 2+2 name is Tiffany).

While we both write for Gutshot, I've never spoken to her, but from what I understand - and what I saw on TV - I think a lot of her slowness can be attributed to the fact that she's been playing for like a year, and was under a tremendous amount of pressure (not just in thinking about the difference between getting tens or hundreds of thousands and MILLIONS of dollars) but also as the final woman of the event.

Maybe she warrants a little slack.
