Given this and his pfr, I think coldcalling is better than reraising.

[/ QUOTE ]

wouldn't this be giving SB and BB better odds? wouldn't it be better to get it HU with MP? wouldn't 3-betting give you better control on the flop?

Because his VPIP is 50, that means a PFR of 12 is pretty agressive preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nah. I think you are wrong there. The PFR is not related to VP$IP except that it is always less than or equal to it. Think about what it would mean otherwise for a player with stats like 25% VP$IP and 15% PFR. He would put money into the pot 25 times / 100 hands and raise 3-4 times / 100 hands pre-flop. Doesn't sound quite right does it? Also, I'm pretty sure that during a short session yesterday where I raised every hand I played my PFR was equal to my VP$IP and not 100% as it would be according to your quote.

you're confusing PFR with AF.

I messed up HH, will do it by hand.

Party Poker $5/10 (6max, 6 handed)

MP is 50/12/1

SB is 70/10/1.7

Without being results oriented, comments?

Pre-flop: Dealt to hero A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

EP folds, <font color="red">MP Raises</font>, CO folds, <font color="red">Hero 3-bets</font>, SB calls, BB folds, MP calls.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

SB checks, MP checks, <font color="red">Hero bets</font>.

Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB checks, MP checks, <font color="red">Hero bets</font>, <font color="red">SB raises</font>, MP folds, Hero calls.

River: 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

<font color="red">SB bets</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises</font>, SB calls.

Ridiculously standard or anything of interest? I'm hoping someone disagrees with at least one street. I'll explain my reasons for each street later. Thanks in advance.

I would fold PF.

I'm standing by my 3-bet after sleeping on it. It's a close decision, but it goes much better with my style of play to 3-bet against this opponent.

The only thing that should've held me back was the 70 VP$IP SB, as he had a reasonable chance of calling, even a 3-bet.

Yeah, you're right. AF changes not PFR.
