I am a fan of using bigger chips in games as it makes more sense to me, but using red in 4/8 like that is just absolutely retarded. Unless you have like one stack of red, so you toss one in with 3 whites on the big streets, but constantly having to make change on every street? I'd say that's a good reason not to play 4/8 at the Trop.

Name a game in that limit range in AC that doesn't have a retarded chip structure, and I'll play in it. The Borg 3/6 has similar red chip problems, the 6/12 is a mess, the Taj 5/10 is tighter due to the 1/2 chip structure. (I haven't tried the Taj 5/10 yet, but that's what I've heard.)

Can't you guys find something better to whine about? Why don't you start lobbying for a $4 dollar chip.

Because 1/2 chip structures make tight games. There've been several threads recently about how chip structures influence games, with discussion by some well respected posters. Maybe you should read them before shooting your mouth off.

I like lots and lots of chips. Big mounds for pots, huge pyramids for stacks. It definitely loosens the game up, 1 chip 2 chip games are notoriously tight.
