Default How much to sit down with here?

1/2(pounds) at the gutshot PL HE. The min buy-in is 50, which is waaay too little, absolutely stupid. I sat down with 60 like an idiot, just to test the waters for later tonight, and lost most of it on AK vs QQ preflop. Anyways, I don't feel secure sitting down with 200, which is what I would guess the right amount to be. Some people sit around with 500-900, which is a bit intimidating, but their play wasn't anything great, lots of stradles, no hands didn't see a flop. Would 100 be enough, or am I wasting it? If I get a single decent hand I know I can get it paid off, but if I don't I could get blinded too quick to save myself. And I value the experience of sitting down and playing what to me is pretty big stakes, the experience is good and very educational.

Edit: More info. 200 is too much for me to lose, it would have me beating myself up for weeks. The lower limit gmaes are raked out the wazoo, but are decently juicy.

Don't play poker with money you can't afford to lose.

And yet after voting myself the only vote so far has told me to do just that. Lots of views few votes, guess tl:dr ??

Either way I'm gonna cover any losses incurred with my online bankroll.

seems odd to me you feel ok with 100, but 200 is too much to lose?

Cause I can match 100, with my bankroll online which is $250 or so, but 200 I can't match. Embarrassing saying my online bankroll is $250 haha. Anyways, I have to cashout soon to prove to my parents that the money online is real anyways, so if I do lose tonight, then I cash the same amount and send it to my parents, since I'm playing with money that is borderline mine. Money they've given me for my daily needs and wouldn't want me blowing on poker.

Given this information, you can't afford to play that game at all.

My 1st rule of thumb. Never play in a game that will hurt you if you loose. If $100 isn't enough and you can't afford $200 this game isn't for you. Build a bankroll at LOW limit, 2-4 is as high as you should be playing, then re-evaluate.
