Default Analysis of average pot sizes across different times?

Playing poker at the right hour of the day is a crucial factor for some. There are a few webpages out there that measure the player numbers across the different sites at an hourly basis. Perhaps it would be more useful to identify the "fishiest" time of the day by measuring the average pot sizes at an hourly rate at a specific game (say 6-player party 5/10 limit shorthanded). I believe it's a fairly trivial task with anybody with basic programming skills and mined hand histories, but has anybody actually conducted such a study?
