Default Satellite Radio...

I am planning on buying portable satellite radio, leaning towards XM because of baseball package...

I would like to hear what people think of XM vs Sirius

What I've heard is, get XM for MLB, Sirius for NFL and NBA.

I'm an NFL guy. I love the NFL channel on Sirius.

I'm also a Howard Stern unfettered guy.

I just bought this:

I was going to post the same question here. I bought it because it has MLB and it is very portable. I have DirecTV, so I get my football there. Besides, baseball is a much better radio sport IMO.

It should be here tomorrow. As long as UPS leaves it without a signature, I should have it up and running by nightfall.

Joe

PS: I got a great deal: $240 including overnight shipping. It has been in ads all over for $300.

I have XM and love it. I have been with them since launch pretty much, and HIGHLY reccomend the Opie and Anthony show on High Voltage 292 (Their own channel), they are worth the monthly fee alone.

You're going to love it. I got a MiFi for Christmas and it's the best present I ever got.

I have XM, and I'll never listen to broadcast radio again unless I have to.

The music is awesome. You get to hear all kinds of music that you would never otherwise hear. There are enough channels so that each channel can be highly focused, not so one-size-fits-all like broadcast radio. This gives them the latitude to dig very deep in to a genre and come up with truly great music.

I don't have sirius, but did listen to it once for a week or so in a rental car. I'm more impressed with the music on XM, but Sirius has the NFL channel. Then again, I also have DirecTV and Sunday Ticket, so I can watch any NFL game I want.

Here's something I didn't know until I got it, but if I did know I would have gotten XM much sooner than I did. XM is repeated in metro areas on FM signals. The antenna included in my package is capable of picking up both satellite and FM signals. I can even use it in my office, and I'm nowhere near a window. It works on rainy & overcast days. It's awesome.
