Default Stars Deposit

I have never had a problem depositing on stars before. I am not anywhere close to my deposit limits, yet my neteller deposit is being declined.

Currently runnin bad at their 5/10 and sitting rather under rolled. I emailed them a few hours ago with no reply.

How long do they usually take? Do they ahve ppl working overnite? Any guesses why the transaction is declined.

Ps; I have many times the deposit ammount in my neteller

What size deposit are you trying to make? I believe their neteller deposit limit is $600.

FYI, My deposit limit is higher than 600.

Here is the email I got from them;

Hello OP,

Based on reports from our database, it appears that you may have a
close relationship with several other PokerStars players.

There is not a problem at all if you do know or are related to these
users. PokerStars welcomes friends and family to play on our site.
We do, however, prefer to know when multiple members of the same
family or household are playing here.

Upon investigation, it appears that the following accounts may be
somehow related or more than just passing acquaintances:

'*******'
'*******'

If you know any of the above players, please provide us with a
detailed explanation of your relation to them. Please include their
names, user ID's and their relationships to you.

Thank you for your time and cooperation, and thank you for choosing
PokerStars.

Regards,

Neal
PokerStars Security

So while this may seem a simple formality at first, upon reflection it really pissed me off. Here I am trying to get some BR on their site to 4 table 5/10. They freeze my deposit options without notifying me, give me a pop up that says I should contact my financial institution (aka neteller). So I am calling them to try to figure out why my deposit is going through, all the while trying to keep 12 BB's one each table while sustaining horific beats.

I am home from college atm. I have a laptop, my comp, my sis' comp, and parents comp all hooked up. I have poker playing friends over for grind sessions all the time. I assume their problem is that these players logged in via my computer at some point. However, there is absoluely zero possibility of any collusion/chimpdumping allegatins as we have never sat together, or even played the same MTT. I have done absolutely nothing wrong.

Stars, if you want to know who those players are, then freeze their accounts, and ask them. I am not a personal identification service. If its my grandma who cant stop gambling in her old age, a friend from gradeschool, or my neweest gay lover, I don't think its any of your business.

It is obvious these are not some gnome accounts I have created to capitalize on your reloads as they are so infrequent and I have them stacked in my account.

I expect this treatment from party, didn't from stars. To sum it up, I do nothing, get my account froze, cause they wanna talk to other people or invade my personal life.

If this happened on party, knowing them, they prob would have locked down each account. Stars support is at least responsive and helpful anytime you do have to talk with them.

If you know them, and have done nothing wrong, I don't see what the big deal is. Seems like standard security procedure to me.

I'm sorry you had problems making your deposit and I'm sorry you feel the way you do about stars policies. But I for one appreciate that stars is looking after my interest. While you may have done absolutely nothing wrong the fact that several different id's have logged in from you ip address is sufficient to make stars ask questions. And while they may be able to tell that there are no shady dealings going on by studying your playing pattern along w/the playing patterns of those other id's, I don't understand your aggravation at having to explain these unusual happenings at your address.

Me thinks you protest too loudly.

So I decided to cooperate with them. SO I told them whatI knew.

Hello,

In regards to my relation to those players,

I do know "*******," he is my sister's boyfriend. He does not live
here, but is over with frequency.

I do not know "*****", however, I suspect it is "******"'s old
account. As that is one of his nick names.

Hope this clears up any issues,

ME

THis is the reply i get,

Hello ME,

Thank you for your explanation.

Since the outstanding matter we have with these users is serious. We
request that you send us a clear front and back copy of your drivers
license or other government issued ID to fully clear your relation from
these users. This is a standard security procedure in these situation due
to your close relation to '*******'

And my reply;

Dear Security,

I am extremely annoyed at this request. I'll break it down step by
step for you.

1) You freeze my deposit options with out any notification. To the
contrary, I recieve a pop up telling me to contact my financial
institution. I did so, and they clearly had no idea what was wrong,
as it was you guys enforcing a hold. All the while, I have done
nothing wrong. This wasted my time, and neteller's time.

2) You write; "Since the outstanding matter we have with these users
is serious. We
> request that you send..." translation; PokerStars has a problem with someone else, I am required to send identification. If PS has a problem with me, I understand. But as you stated, you ahve a problem with someone else. So why are you trying to drag me into it?

3) You write; "to fully clear your relation from these users. This is
a standard security procedure in these situation due to your close
relation to" THis makes no sense. I told you my relation, which by
no means woud I clasify as close. It is my sister's boyfriend.
Whether or not I send you an ID doesn't change this. You say it is
necesary for me to identify myself because of my close realtion, and
this will then clear my relation? So do you mean to say he will no
longer be my sister's boyfriend?

If you have a legitamit reason to question who I am, then feel free to
request my ID again. But if you have problems with other PS users,
deal with them personally. I am not a personal identification
service. I told you what I knew, and then you send me through more
hoops. I do not have a scanner or a fax machine, so this would a
great inconvienence to me. I play over 30 hours of poker a week and
will not tolerate this harasment from any pokersite as there are so
many to choose from. If you continue to not allow my cashier access,
I will find the time to get you my ID. However, I will never play
another hand on your site.

Sincerely,

ME

So am I the only person this would piss off? I know they have no real problem with me as I am able to log in and play to this moment, jsut not able to use the cashier. Btw, I use only neteller, to deposit and with draw. I feel harassed, thoughts?

i can see and understand both sides of this issue. further, i think that both of you are correct in your stance. but you know who is gonna get their way with this aurgument. someone has to give concessions and it wont be stars.

ps: a college gal that can afford and do well at 5/10. you go girl.

All they're asking you to do is send ID. It's happened to lots of us.

I hope everything gets cleared up for you though.
