the only hand i beat is AA. i was giving heavy consideration to a check-fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

if by 'only hand' you meant, 'only pocket pair above 10', then yes, i agree with you.

[/ QUOTE ]

so i should bet the river because he has 22?

AJ, KJ, KT, AK, etc, etc.

I accept I don't know which if any of these hands he's gonna call with, but I'm sure you missed quite a bit of value.

[/ QUOTE ]

which of these hands are you playing this way on the flop?

which of these hands are you calling a bet with on the river?

if i bet the river, AA has a VERY hard time calling a bet.

I haven't been paying attention to the guy at all, so can't comment on his play. But I have seen some goofy stuff today. I like betting this and hoping he makes a big call.

Man, I feel kinda bad and depressed about all of this.

Its like I "won the lottery", but its all at someone else's expense. the grief ive caused others was all sort of compounded tonight. i make my living off of other people's misery.

no wonder buddha talks about right livelyhood.

i might not play poker again after tonight.

He woulda lost it to someone else.

The most shocking thing about all this is how you were somehow allowed to play HU without anyone stepping in. One table had a rock garden (for that game) and the other had a very live player and him all to yourself for the tail end.

You should've come to terms with this a while ago.

I guess this would be the other side of the endorphin high. If you're feeling that bad about it, give the money away. Otherwise, you're just posturing.

It's poker. You always win at someone else's expense. That's their concern, not yours. This guy had tens of thousands of dollars to lose to you so he's probably not in the soup line just yet.
