Re: Favorite beer.
[ QUOTE ]
Widmer Brother's Hefeweizen [/ QUOTE ] Widmer is a particularly mediocre hefeweizen. If you can find them, pick up some of Weihenstephaner's weizens. Hacker-Pschorr (sp?) will do in a pinch as well. I really like New Belgium beers, but the sunshine wheat is just meh. |

The Dogfish Head 90 is one of my fav's - along with the Victory Hop Devil.
Have you tried the Dogfish Head 120? Holy crap! There's some good bite to that one. Definitely not meant for bonging. |

Re: Favorite beer.
The amount of beer available is just mind-bogling to say the least.

Re: Favorite beer.
Heinekin is numero uno. If no heiney then a nice cold Corona does just fine.

[ QUOTE ] Unfortunately Dogfish Head is difficult to find here in Los Angeles. Stone's is, of course, easy but I prefer the Dogfish. [/ QUOTE ] I think they might have it at The Wine House. I'm headed there at some point today, I'll keep an eye out for it. [/ QUOTE ] Thanks. |

Re: Favorite beer.
Paulaner Hefeweizen is one of my favourite white beers.
Negra Modelo is probably the only Mexican beer worth drinking (but I'm not sure, I don't get to try much up in Canada). I've never had a Sierra Nevada brew I didn't like, but again I don't get them that often. I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bass Pale Ale. It's a delicious light UK ale, and bearer of the first registered trademark. It's probably my favourite English beer, ahead of even Newcastle. On tap I drink Kilkenny Cream Ale at any opportunity. The campus bar used to have $4.25 pints, but they figured out they were getting soaked and pumped it to $6.50 this year. For local microbrews I like Big Rock Black Amber Ale (though nearly any Big Rock brew is worth trying) and some brown ale by Alley Kat. For cheap beers I really like Rolling Rock and Pilsner. |
