Default 50 nl, kk hand

Note: No reads on UTG

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (4 handed) converter

Button ($21.60)
SB ($73.90)
Hero ($105.55)
UTG ($69.10)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB completes, Hero raises to $2.5, UTG calls $2, Button folds, SB folds.

Flop: ($6) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks.

Turn: ($6) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets $3, UTG raises to $8, Hero raises to $13, UTG raises to $66.6, Hero calls $53.60.

River: ($139.20) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Final Pot: $139.20

Maybe raise more preflop, reraise more on turn too? Anyone just calling turn raise? Anyone folding to all-in? Suggestions appreciated.

I really hate that flopcheck, it screams top set after your 5BB preflop raise and I can't think of any cards your opponent holds that a) give you action on turn, b) do not beat you and c) would fold to a flop bet. Just pot flop and pound turn, my two cents.

I kill the board on the flop though. I think any hand that might take a flop bet is getting all the money in by the turn anyway. While the flop check might be suspicious, it at least gives me a chance to get some dumb money from Ax, turned flush draw, turned set, or turned 2 pair.

Let's say I pot the flop, get called and pot the turn, get reraised all in. Easy call?

Just bet away with your big hands. Trying to be deceptive by checking is an excellent way of keeping the pot small with monsters. You don't want that. Same on turn, bet bigger, and minreraising just lets him know you have a big hand without getting money into the pot. I definitely don't get away here, tho from you tone I guess he made the straight.

Yeah, I like raising pretty big from the big blind. But the converter screws these things up right? So you actually raised to $3? That's okay, maybe 3.50 is better. These people usually like calling ya know.

This hand is badly played, preflop is good, bet 5 dollars on the flop. Now he probably hit his gutshot and you lost money.
