Re: 1st Poker Casino trip to Tunica
[ QUOTE ]
If you haven't booked your room, you'll want to do so ASAP. The rooms go fast, especially for poker rates. I always try to book at least a month in advance. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the first few places I called didn't have any Poker Rates available. I ended up getting a room at Sam's Town. |

Re: 1st Poker Casino trip to Tunica
A couple of other notes ... the O8 game at the Strike is usually 4/8 with a 1/2 kill up to 6/12 after someone scoops. The Strike's room has been improved by the deletion of the slot machines, but it doesn't seem as friendly as it used to be, and they got rid of the serve yourself coffee and hotdogs.
The Horseshoe is the shiznit. Best poker room, best staff, best food, cleanest air, etc, etc, ... so I'd say it's worth the trip from Sam's Town to the 'shoe for some 4/8 HE and to sample the buffet for free. On a slightly unrelated note, the legendary Horseshoe 20/40 game seems to have been significantly hurt by the addition of the multiple 2/5 NL tables they run now. I played 20/40 for about 25 hours a couple weekends ago and it was only rocking for about 4 of those. B. |

Re: 1st Poker Casino trip to Tunica
I tend to agree but I have to spread what people want to play. Yesterday the 20-40 went for 15 minutes before they decided to play 30-60. 1 hour later it was full with a list, along with the 2-5 game with a list also. A few of the "looser" 20-40 players have been in the NL the last couple weeks so I agree the 20 game has been a little tighter.
