Default the fundamental theory of poker

does the theory not presuppose that the player last to act always has the ability to make the +ev play if he were to guess the hand of the player acting first? and doesnt that lead us to the assumption that the player first to act can never make the +ev play if the player in position knows his hand?

which leads to the conclusion according the theory that, if player A whom acts first is always 'losing' money if player B who has position can accurately put him on a hand?

err... the theory is irrelevant of position, but yes in the real world player b always gains more info and as such has a better ability to narrow a's hand range and play accordingly.

this is why position is good

Theoretically, the last player can follow a strategy that the early position player cannot beat even without perfect information.

In practice, this is true unless the late position player is much worse than the early player (much much worse).

And now you've discovered why the button moves around the table.
