Default continuation bet into 4 players?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t400 (9 handed) converter

BB (t4516)
UTG (t3950)
Hero (t18467)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to t1200</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, MP2 calls t1200, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Button calls t1200, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls t800.

Flop: (t4600) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>

Didn't want to continuation bet into 4 players with that flop, and i'm probably being results oriented since it appears that i could have done it. But is this a good idea? I don't think it can be but want to make sure.

seems like that flop would have been an action flop, oh well. 99% of the time it would be a waste of chips to bet this flop. Just my opinion.

I agree. To many pf callers to jab after missing flop.

From the turn on (depending on your rep.) any called bet or reraise has you beat.

So what is the definition of a "continuation bet"? Betting the flop after raising pre-flop?

Well i played in that tournament, not sure if thats where this hand was from... Why were you one of those people?

Yea when i was posting it, i didnt see why i didn't bet out on the turn. That probably would have done it too.
