Default Party Poker Scam---BEWARE!!

I got scammed at partypoker trying to get a seat into the Sunday Quater million Tourney. Well I had my concerns about the transfer as it was supposidly going on. I decided to call Partypoker up and see how it was going. Well I was less than thrilled when I learned that this person(s) and accounts have already have had incidents like this before on Partypoker. I was lets say not happy when I heard this was already an issue. I was told that there was nothing that party could do to rectify this problem and that everything was being done to fix the problem. But when I ask if they can freeze that guys account and stop all actions. They said they couldnt. I was not happy. Anyways I emailed Mike O'Malley just mins. ago and that goes as follows:

Dear Mr. O' Malley,

My name is XXXXXXX, I have an account with Partypoker. My email with partypoker is XXXXXXXX. That service has been off and on all day and this is urgent so I am sending you this through my other email. My account name is XXXXXXXX. I was just talking with PartyPoker support on the phone about a transaction that took place with another member of partypoker regarding a seat for sale for Sunday's Quater Million Tourney. I was approached by titans55555 on 10-20 table 5th Avenue about this opportunity. Partial Chat transcripts are as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------

So after this I go call up Partypoker support and I ask about this and I finally get to someone. I am on the phone for 30 mins. I tell them all the details and what happened. They then tell me that they have already had a problem with this person. "LetsGoAllin2". I said is there anyway I can get any restitution. They said I must buy in directly or win a satallite. I was quite upset. I asked them if they can freeze his account and send the funds or even partial of it back to me. They have already established they have had the same problem with these accounts doing the same thing before. I was told they couldn't freeze their assets and or accounts. They would if they could they said. They also go on to tell me that this account is active and is playing. Well I was hot when they told me all of this. Because frankly I don't believe they can't do anything to stop/freeze someone's account with these repeated infractions. I remained courtious and calm on the phone though. What runs through my mind is that this was already an issue and wasn't taken care of.

Can you please look into this matter and see if there is anything that can be done. It would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

Sincerely,

xxxxxxxx

===============

BEWARE everyone of this person and their associates. Party has to get on the ball here to curb and stop these type's of actions occuring. Maybe a delayed interaccount transfer or something. Anyways, there is my bitch and vent. Lets keep vigilant everyone.

i agree that party can and should do something about this guy and shouldnt let him continue to chat or play....
but, dude, what were you thinking??

there are beggars everywhere on party and there's no reason to think this guy is actually on the up-and-up.

Well I think you lost your $90 as the majority of the actual negotiations took place on AIM therefore party cant verify with server logs. You are crazy for doing this in the first place and the best case scenario is that party throws you a bone and gives you the $90 back which I am not all together sure is correct either. You let yourself walk into this trap and maybe deserve to lose the $90. Sorry if that sounds harsh but at least it was only $90 and you can be sure you won't fall for it again, if you wanted a seat that bad for $90 you should have just played 4 $20 SNG qualifiers and earned one, maybe have even cost you less.

There is more chat transcripts on the party server logs.

But yes you are right. I was to willing to believe something like this.

Now I know, and knowing is half the battle.

I wish you only the best of luck getting the $90 back from party, but you might sound like a scammer trying to hault a interaccount transfer? can you see that from their end? anyway if you do get the $90 back play in a couple SNG sats instead of trying to buy it from a skeezy individual

You aren't allowed to transfer or sell seats in any of the party tourneys anyway.

That's right. If someone gets more than 1 entry into a tournament, Party just gives them the cash value of it. There wouldn't be any reason to sell it for less than cash value even if he or she could.

You mean Mr. Benjamin Tutu's personal attorney won't be transfering the 6.2 million dollars from Nigeria into my bank account? Even after I paid the special transfer fees?
