Default Deathwatch for Empire? (Sun noon and only 5k players 700 tables)

wow.. i am really surprised Empire still has 5k players playing. i would have thought when Eurobet jumped ship that empire would be a ghost town.

Is Empire surviving on 5k players?

Where can i find avg # of players on various sites?

Pokerpulse used to have this info, it has been "sleeping" for a few months now.

I logged on Tuesday or Wednesday at around 3am out of curiosity and there were 1,100 players.

when i started playing in Feb of 2003 I thought it was incredible that Pokerstars (the only site I knew of) had 2k players on at a single time.

Live B&M rooms can survive with 10 tables or fewer.

And we don't really know how many players Empire had in the first place.

If it's any indication, Empire's MTT's are getting pretty much the same number of players as they did before.

Empire will survive post-party!

exactly.

when party/empire were together and they had 70k players do you really think Empire had even half of those??

why people act like empire dropped from 70k to 5k is beyond me.
with the loss of some of the 2+2 multi-tablers and others then perhaps they dropped from 8k to 5k or something like that.
but they certainly didn't have a huge number of players before the split.

newsflash: most of the players on party/skins before the split actually played on party.

In other news: I won a poker table-top and cards and chip-set from Empire in their RoyalFlush club random drawing that I had forgotten I entered.
Pretty decent actually.
Table and chips should be about $50 in value each at least I would think (table-top might be worth more than $50....just low-balling).

Based on 3rd Qtr data, prior to the Party split, Empire represented roughly 10% of the players online on the Party netwok, at any given time.

True, but consider that B+M poker is only a small fraction of the total revenue that the casino earns, and the casino can surely survive without it.

An online site offering only poker couldn't survive with such futility.

I respect you and your point is valid, but misleading.

Empire would continue to be a profitable company, even if it completely shut down its Party based operation!!! They only have 40 employees!
