The rule is two syllables.

So:

$3/6 = three-six
$5/10 = five-ten
$10/20 = ten-twen
$15/30 = fifteen
$30/60 = thirty

etc.

Pronounced correctly, "fiddy" should roll off the tounge in a single syllable, while (as described in the other posts) two syllables is the absolute minimum for such expressions.

Hence, for .5/1, the correct expression is: "I whomp shiznit in the fiddy-one game, biznitch."
