He wins games, that's what he does. He might not be great statistically, but like Brady, he finds a way to manage the game well enough and win consistently. Keep in mind he's only in his 2nd year too. I really thought he was the most overrated player in the NFL last year, but after watching him this year I have a lot of respect for him and what he does for that team.

No.
He's not as stellar of an athelete as say - Vick, but he manages his team better, and performs better all around. Tom Brady isn't a stellar athelete, but he gets the job done as well as anybody out there. Vick gets over-hyped because of his atheleticism, and is over-rated in the aspect that he doesn't really get the job done. Rothlisberger gets over-hyped because he gets the job done as well as anybody, and is probably over-rated as an athelete. Neither are bad, or even over-rated, QB's

The fact is he wins games, and a lot of other qb's can't. As for the YPC stat I doubt Joe Montana ran 5-10 times a game. Guys like him have high YPC because they only ran when the field is wide open.

Let's put it this way; I would rather have an "overrated" QB like Big Ben and Vick who find ways for their teams to win on a consistant basis instead of an underrated QB who doesn't manage his team as well. Call me crazy but I like winning and will take any QB who can do that for my team a lot. By those standards I don't think those two are overrated. Stats aren't everything except in fantasy football [which consequently doesn't translate to real wins].

So, Pennington, Vick, and Roethilsberger are all overrated, right? Yet in general all three guys have led their teams to the playoffs, even won some playoff games. Oh, I almost forgot Brady. Roeth's not considered anything special, and people forget how good Pennington once was (he was always being compared to Joe Montana before his injury).
