Default Folded winner in 25bb pot for 1 bet. Correct or not?

This one seriously sucked. I'm not whining and seriously am asking if I have to pay sucha weak hand off in a huge pot. I felt given the action that I had to be beat, even getting 25/1 (holding 33 for flopped boat). I know I'm giving the result, but thought it might actually get somebody to respond.

Reads: Everone involved is a donkey. I have no idea how they still have money. I know I know, why did I fold then: you make the call...

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is MP with 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG posts a blind of $5.
UTG (poster) checks, Hero calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB raises, UTG calls, Hero calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB calls.

SB checks, BB bets, UTG folds, Hero calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB calls.

Turn: (8 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)

Final Pot: 26 BB

Results in white below:
SB has Jc 9s (three of a kind, tens).
Button has Ad 9d (flush, ace high).
Outcome: Button wins 26 BB.

correct, i would think there is less than a 4% chance you are ahead here. I'm sure it was painful but I fold it unless you know these guys are beyond horrendous and do not know what a full house is or have any other understanding of the game.

Why aren't you betting the turn? Only way I make this call is if I have good reads that SB would donk/call with jack high and button would raised on a tripped board with a flush.

You should never have been in the hand in the first place. You also should have raised the flop.

I think this is poor advice.

Sorry for the jump in on this one, since I am the resident n00b, but *why* is raising the flop bad here?

I don't normally play it in this pos, I was steaming . REgarding the flop raise, I would raise bottom set in this spot but not the small boat. No one has much chance to catch up (of course the case ten was a nighmare). Everyone else was drawing to 2 outs (well, 3 [the T] for pp's) or running cards and second best hands were on the horizon.

You already know the answer. You came that far, you can't fold when you close the action on the river. Sure, the river is probably the one card in the deck that you fear the most, (a 7 wouldn't have been much fun either) but that pot is just too big to fold for one more.

For what it's worth, I don't like your smooth call on the flop. I don't know if raising would have made much of a difference in this case because the villains looked determined to come along for as many bets as required, but maybe you would have had trouble folding for one more bet if the pot had 29BB in it instead of 26BB? Sorry - couldn't resist.
