Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
As long as that one hit is a three run jack after a couple of walks, that should be enough for millwood.

[ QUOTE ]
This makes absolutely no sense given the current state of the Indians. KJS [/ QUOTE ] Come on dude, tell me about one cleveland sports experience that has not let you down......I have three images that define sports in the North Coast. The first is John Elway pwning The Browns, The second is Michael Jordan jumping in the air pumping his fist after hitting a game winning shot over Craig Ehlo, the final is Craig Counsel jumping for joy on his way to home plate..... edit: ps. the crunch doesnt count. pps. for all of you non cleveland sports freaks: did you know that of all cities with at least three major league franchises, cleveland is the one with the longest time since the last championship? furthermore, did you know that it is not even close (like almost 20 years not close?) |

Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
Why is it that the yankees fans are pulling for cleveland here? It seems like a sox sweep would
A. Give the Yankees a shot at the wild card lead and B. Keep a strong, dangerous and hot team out of the playoffs. |

Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
I have much more distinctive memories from the Byner fumble, and that ball going inbetween He who shall not be named legs'.
Also he whom i would punch in the face if i ever met him announcing his plans to move the browns leaps to mind as well. I'm not a huge basketball fan so i guess the shot comes in fourth. |

Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
I like reading the sentance "please sweep chicago" without the comma, its fun to have someone else root for the indians, and then i also get to act obtuse.... which isn't much of a stretch.

Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
i think thats just bad grammar and they mean, "chicago i would love it if you would be so kind as to sweep the indians"
thats what i meant. |

Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
[ QUOTE ]
i think i speak for everyone in NYC when i say "please sweep, chicago" [/ QUOTE ] I don't see how if you are a boston or NY fan that you don't want CLE to get swept. I am a BOS fan, but I would like the insurance of a possible WC. And I don't see how a NYY fan wouldn't want the same thing. The west is pretty much out of it for the WC. And I know that CWS would have home field against either of the teams that WC in the East, but I have already stated (and placed a $150 bet) that CWS doesn't win one series either way. craig |

Re: Official White Sox vs. Indians Thread
heres a hypothetical: if youre a yankee fan would you rather finish 2nd in the east and win the WC, facing the white sox or win the division and face the tougher Angels?
im kind of enjoying the streak of yankees 1st sox 2nd in the division, it would be a shame to break it up. on the other hand if winning the division meant boston didnt make the playoffs, i would face the tougher opponent in a heartbeat. |
