K10s UTG Preflop
What is the right play for the average loose passive $0.5/$1 limit table with K10s UTG? I usually limp, do you guys limp, fold or raise UTG?
Thanks! |

Re: K10s UTG Preflop
I'm not raising with it. At a loose passive table, sometimes I'll limp and sometimes I'll fold. Limp more at tables with 6+ people to the flops, fold elsewise. The more aggression present, the more likely I am to fold it.

Re: K10s UTG Preflop
Thanks for that, that might be my leak, I tend to limp with K10s all the time and don't really have good results with them. I just kept thinking that K10s seems to be a +EV hand from all positions and worth playing?

Re: K10s UTG Preflop
Anyone know what SSH says here?
I'm pretty sure it's a fold in tight games, but I dunno about "loose" games. Anyway. Rob |

Re: K10s UTG Preflop
It would be good if you KNEW no one was going to raise.
UTG you have too many players in front of you, and if one raises, you are now in for 1 BB. You wiff the flop, and then what? Also, there are too many Ax players out there, what happens if you hit your K and an Ace hits the board? If one of those raisers/callers has your K dominated? Fold UTG and avoid the headache. |

Re: K10s UTG Preflop
It's a limp in tight games as well as loose in SSH. I like K10s in any position.

Re: K10s UTG Preflop
I limp with it under the gun. But because I limp with hands like AQs and AA UTG, I do it just to mix it up. If I play a hand, you should too because I don't play too many.
