How much do you average per hour???
Let's say 6 seat table averaging between 4 and 6 players at at time, averaging 80 to 100 hands per hour, played for 1000 hours...
At $1/2 stakes, how much would you say you average per hour on this table? I average between $10 and $15 an hour at this level (with swings of course), is that reasonable for a moderately advanced player (year and a half and a dozen books read), or is there still room to improve significantly? Thanks for any feedback... |

Re: How much do you average per hour???
wow you're doin that on 6 person tables ? I'm doing maybe 5$ better per hour at 3/6, somewhere in the 20$ range (and ten handed). I guess I have a lot to learn !

Re: How much do you average per hour???
Well, the first poster may be partially right, $10 rather than $15 is probably closer to the actual average I guess. I played 18 hours worth over a long weekend and picked up around $190, and it wasn't some great run of cards or anything. I know that's a very small sample, but it seemed to be right around what I average on those tables...
Is that really THAT great a rate?? |

Re: How much do you average per hour???
5 BB/hr is unsustainable while 1-tabling, even playing a game as fishy as 1/2 6max. You could probably earn $10/hr+ 4-tabling 1/2 6max if you're fairly good, but not while playing 1 table.
The old adage is still true--your goal is 1 BB/hr per table played. Anything over 2 BB/hr is outstanding, 3 BB/hr is probably possible for a very, very good player, and higher than that is just an upswing. |
