Default Suggestions needed, please

Lately, the home game I participate in has been deteriorating quite a bit. Tonight we had to cancel because there weren't going to be enough people there.

We used to play a lot of the goofy dumb stuff with 17 wild cards, but slowly, and thankfully, the group gravitated towards actual POKER, like Hold'em and Omaha/8. For a couple years now the goofy dumb games have been pretty much frowned upon.

But, since some of the (losers) have lost interest recently, can anyone recommend any gamble-ey games suitable for a home environment that don't involve wild cards? We've tried Pineapple and the turkeys got burned with it.

Anybody got any suggestions for a home game that could use some spicing up? Much obliged, I'm sure.

The problem is that the "turkeys" will get burned no matter what you play. You might try not beating them so bad. Remember you can shave a sheep many times, but only slaughter him one.
