Default NE Rains (Playoff Games)

So what's going to happen with the games this weekend in NY and Boston? NYC is expecting up to 10 inches of rain by Tuesday and Boston is expecting up to 8 inches.

if it rains a lot, the games will be rained out.

if not, they will play the games.

it doesnt look like theyre going to play the yankee game. they shouldn't, IMO.

right now a lot of meteorologists are saying it wont be raining at 8 but at 10 it will be torrential and unplayable. once the rain starts and the tarp goes out the rain wont stop.

if you know with confidence it will start raining at 10, you can't start a playoff game at 8.

I agree. You can't take the risk of needing to call a playoff game early. Imagine if one team was up 2-1 in the sixth inning or something.

I'm about 50 miles west of NYC and it's been pouring the last few hours. The rain is moving to the east, so once it starts, yea it is over. I agree, tonight they shouldn't play. Problem is, tomorrow we are supposed to get 4 more inches. So if these games are pushed back, how do they play all the games with the ALCS staring next week?

All of us who live in New York know how tough some of those roadways can be to navigate on a normal night. They'll be creating a dangerous situation if they don't cancel this game soon.
