Default QQ first hand at 6-max table

I normally play full ring but have been running bad so switched to 6-max for a change of pace. The game is 5-handed, I just sat with $200, villain has me covered by about $10. I've never seen him before.

UTG limps, UTG+1 limps, fold, SB completes, I make it $10 to go w/QQ, UTG folds, villain pushes, SB folds.

Is this a no-brainer fold? I've never seen an overlimp/reraise at 6-max (occasionally it happens in the first couple seats of full ring and is almost always AA/KK)

This sounds like me.

Yes this is a fold with no read, whenever this happens to me, I always know i'm going to regret folding when I learn this guy is an uber maniac but you know what they say..

Its better to be safe than.. stacked.

Honestly, if I hadn't been running so bad, I probably would've called. I expect to see a medium-high pair (JJ-99) or AK a large percentage of the time. I just wasn't sure at 6-max and wasn't willing to pay $200 to find out.

You think he overlimped AA/KK? That would be a weird play, but possible. Much more likely he is just an overaggro donk and thinks you're stealing from the blinds. By the way, you should have raised more to further convey that impression. I'm making it at least 12 there and possibly even 15.

Does that mean you'd call?

Not that I knew at the time, but I now know I was likely good there -- he's done some ridiculously overaggro stuff.

without a read it's a clear fold...he'll probably turn out to be a moron but you don't know that yet.

Yes. At 6m, barring a read, I'm giggling to get it all in preflop with QQ even at NL200.

I second that... at 6max you'll even see some AQ/AJ in the mix once in a while, you'd be amazed at what 4 less people does the the strength of a starting hand.

yeah, I let QQ go here, Its AA/KK/AK and thats no good (and its more often AA than anything else. However, if you witness this behaviour lots of times soon after this, then it becomes a call with QQ.
