Default 88 button - how about this turn fold?

No good read on SB. BB is very laggy, VP$IP 42% and PFR 23%, post-flop AF around 1.6. My impression is also that he is tricky... and pretty good at it... at least so far on this table.

PokerStars 2/4 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, UTG calls.

Flop: (8 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, BB calls, UTG folds.

Turn: (5.50 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero folds, ...

I would probably call down if SB wasn't in the hand here. Yay or nay?

Raise, if that doesn't get SB to fold you can safely take the free showdown. Value bet most rivers against the BB.

No, I don't like the fold. His bet could be "top pair wait to see if the turn card is safe bet" or it could be a "the board doesn't look like it helped a preflop raiser so I'll value bet my pair of 4's" or "I just picked up a draw" or just a stone cold bluff. Raise the turn with the intention of taking the free showdown.

Yah, I like raising. I was probably too concerned about SB.
