Re: Soft Games a Fad?
you make an additional point, live players don't have PT or notes to rely on. I know watching TV all the tournament greats say they can remember how someone plays, well we have computers for that, and PT can show you just how an opponent plays, I think it is better than the worlds best memory.

Re: Soft Games a Fad?
soft games arent a fad. as long as there is poker, there will be people too lazy and undiciplined to be successful willing to play.

hint: an hour in a casino is different than an hour online.

Re: Soft Games a Fad?
You should be nice to the recreational or casual player, that's were the cash comes from. If they weren't there, all you sharks would just sit around trading chips with no real profit.

Isn't the rake lower online too? Making it easier to get that number without taking as much from the players per hour? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, and don't forget tipping the dealer. Not to mention the time cost and gas and vehicle wear cost of driving to a casino. It all adds up to quite a lot. In the Commerce casino, where I used to play 7-stud 15/30, you paid via a seat rental rate, $7 per half hour, if I recal correctly. That's half the(LONG TERM !!) profit of a good player right there. B&M games are much more expensive to play. |

Re: Soft Games a Fad?
The original poster did not say 3BB/hr, he said 3BB/100 hands. Big difference.
