Default Card icons

Is there a tool or website that creates pictures of cards, kind of like what the hand converter does?

So if you posted about a flop, on a website not the 2+2 message board, it would show pictures of the three cards that were flopped?

Ted

The suit icons presented on this site are just GIF files. You could download them and then put them somewhere where they are accessible from the web. You'd just need to include the proper image source HTML tags in whatever you were writing.

Personally, I don't think it's worth it. I have no problems with using the single-letter method: Ah Kh Td.

Regards,

T

You can also use HTML codes for the suits:

♣ [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
♦ [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
♠ [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Actually, I think you misunderstood my original post. I don't mean suits, I meant pictures of cards like at this guy's blog --

You said "like the hand converter does" and I thought you meant Bison's Hand Converter.

You wouldn't need to *create* pictures of cards, you just need 52 pics that you can link to with sensible names like "Ks.jpg"

In fact, looking at the properties of the pics from the link you supplied, it looks like they're already there.

Obviously, hotlinking to someone else' site is incredibly rude, but you could download each pic and store it in your own webspace. So long as you aren't using them for financial gain I doubt anyone will have a problem re: licensing.

Looks like they're in: http://www.simonspoker.com/wp-images/smilies/ with predictable names in the .GIF format, like this:
http://www.simonspoker.com/wp-images/smilies/Jc.gif

Put those addresses into your browser, then right click and "Save picture as..." Upload to your own webspace at your convenience.

Ahhh touche', and well done!!! I didn't even think to look in the source code for the directory. I should have assumed that someone would keep all of the images readily available in a directory.

SheridanCat found some for the wiki which should be freely downloadable and reusable. See http://poker.wikicities.com/wiki/Image:Kc_.gif for example. (Use the two letter rank and suit followed by an underscore, because the wiki software requires three characters minimum.)
