I think it's more worthwhile to look at your flop and turn play that lead up to this predicament.

Of course you already know my opinions on this hand

No offence I think its horrid play.

3bet the flop, if for whatever reason you think you need some kind of deception play atleast check-3bet the turn when it bricks.

I stink at limt, yet i know 3-betting the flop is a must.

This has the feeling of a results oriented 'look at my great fold' post.

Hi Fudge,

The flop play is very bad, mainly because there's a 2-flush out there. If the flop had come something like Q72 r-bow. Going for the turn check-raise seems better. Worst case scenario with your line, turn gets checked around, and SB bets on a spade river, whats your play here?

I generally think slowplaying is extremely overrated. You want to play your hands fast and built a pot early. You need to 3-bet this flop everytime and come firing out again on turn. If you had 3-bet flop and SB had checkraised both of you on turn, I would be inclined to call because of the potsize. I think SB will overplay his AQ/KQ/Q5 or OE-straight+flushdraw often enough to show a profit. And even if you are up against 2 pair, which I believe is the most common scenario here, you have outs to fall back on.

The way you played your hand, I would also fold turn.

PS: Button not betting river is by far the worst play in the hand.

Best regards,
-Nikla

No wonder I could make $5.3k in the first two days of the challenge. Please keep visiting PartyPoker if you're gonna play your kings like that.

3bet the flop
