SSHE rundown
Posted this in Books/Pubs before thinking it might be better here.
I'm mainly a NL SNG player, and I read about 2/3 of Miller's SSHE way back. I'm planning to pop over to Vegas in two weeks and I'm a total noob at live play, so I was going to do a crash read of SSHE. My question: Is there anywhere I can get a quick rundown of the super-strengths/questionable-weaknesses of SSHE, or am I condemned to pore through the search archives to needle through? A 10-point 'watch-for' list would be great if someone could point me to one as I read SSHE again! Thanks. |

Re: SSHE rundown
The whole book is pretty damn good.
My best advice would be to focus on the sections about post-flop play and not get bogged down too much in the pre-flop sections. Some of the really eye-opening sections, particularly for an NL player, involve situations where you have to call with a seemingly weak hand because you have a deceptively large number of outs and situations where you need to be very aggressive (usually on the flop) with a marginal holding in order to maximize your expectation. |

Re: SSHE rundown
The short answer is "no". But if you concnetrate on the post flop sections, and especially the sections on "hidden outs" and playing marginal hands you will see how the SS game can be very profitable. Good luck
