I had some luck when I first started on pokerstars. Since then, it's pretty much break even since then. The players are definitely better there than at party poker. It's a shame too especially since party's software is bad. At least pokerstars isn't doing false advertising. When they say it's a great place to work on your game, they aren't kidding.

can you please elaborate why it's not, is there something in the structure, the play...what is it?

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, what bawcerelli said...

The "good play" thing is blown out of proportion a bit. If you cant make loot there over the long haul then you won't at party either IMO.

I think a good player can do better on Pokerstars S&G's than Party Pokers, the blinds are almost always very high on Party when you get down to 4 people, even if you're the chip leader you can't afford to sit back if you're getting cold cards. If you manage to play well and double up when down to 4 at Pokerstars you'll have plenty of time to still play Poker.

I can't believe you guys are saying PStars is hard to beat. I play exclusively at PStars now and it has always seemed to me to be much softer than PP and the structure greatly favors better players. I can't tell you how often I have doubled up in the first level with an overpair vs. top pair no kicker, or top pair top kicker vs. top pair bad kicker. Would you rather have this happen with 1500 starting chips or 800/1000 chips? There are more than enough fish at these tables.

Maybe I should shut up.

But they claim Pokerstars.net is a great place to work on your game. So they are still lying.
