Default powerplayer.com closing down????

Somebody at the tables today told me that they heard that powerplayer was going to go under. Does anyone know anything about this? He may have not know what he was talking about...but that is still very scary because they control the bulk of my bankroll right now. Anybody know if there is a way you can check on things like that? In general when sites close down do players lose the money they had in their accounts also?
thanks for any help/info anyone can give
z.p.

Default Re: powerplayer.com closing down????

It's probably just a rumor stemming from the delay in cashouts, but that's just my guess. But I have no idea whether the cashout delay is a sign of financial trouble or not.

I figure that if they don't have my cashout request processed by the end of the week (they told me it should be resolved by Wed.), then there's probably a reason to be worried. In that case, I'll probably be willing to take the risk of dumping all my PowerPlayer money to my PokerRoom account.

But in general, it's usually a bad idea to believe anything that someone told you at a table.
