I think this belong in the shorthanded section... anyway i play this the same if i got some kind of reads i may check/call the river but if its a normal player i make the same play. he might just have a Q or something.
if he raises u somewhere in the hand then ur hand isnt wort to much. He might have Axs? Poker isnt fair

Alright, just wondering if it was standard or not. I figured he was paying me off with a Q, but he did in fact have A5os.

I play it the same against an unknown.

Flop bet is automatic. On the turn, you need to bet, because he could have called the flop bet with a lot of different things, most of which you're beating. On the river, your beat more often than not, but if you check, he'll probably bet the hands that beat you and check the hands that don't. So you bet/fold or you check/fold. Against an unknown, you're good often enough to show it down, so you put in the last bet.

this is 3/6 so your opponent is no pro. He is doubtful aware of the WA/WB concept. But is performing the play without knowing it. Check the river, do you really think he's paying off with a 9? Is a Q more likely than a A? No. The river bet has no value.

I'd say say a fair amount of 3/6 players would pay off with a 9 here, and more than half would pay off with a Q, especially not knowing how I play.

I'll be so bold to say that a fair amount of 3/6 players would pay off with 22, and a very large amount pays off with a 9. And 99% pays off with a Q. Bet the river.
