option 1. take her money at the tables, then leave her

option 2. let her gamble (with her own money. she will end up like gus.)

option 3. tell her to play short handed/heads up tournaments. more fun, and just as profitable.

My gf does the same stuff. She too was very eager to learn and was reading SSHE. The problem is, however, that she just hasn't played that many hands. The gane is still very new to her and that's her problem. Your wife may just need to suffer these losses for a while before she makes the choice to continue where she's at or to start learning and playing better. As I learned with my gf, you can't teach someone to be a winning player, they must want it on their own.

Shut up and let her play how she wants, and it's not even close. You've told her what's what and she isn't buying, as is her right. Let it go.

It sounds like your wife is not interested in playing seriously. Why can't you just accept that?

Count your blessings, friend! My wife wants nothing to do with poker and I can't remember the number of times I've declined an intimate evening to go fishing at Pokerstars.

[/ QUOTE ]

I cannot think of a time I've turned down an "intimate evening" for poker. Have balance, my friend (of course, I've been married for almost 20 years, so an "intimate evening" rarely takes more than 15 or 20 minutes).

So now she says she won't play with me anymore unless I shutup and let her have fun chasing her runner runners and gutshots.

[/ QUOTE ]

I prefer Sierra Nevada, my sweetie only drinks Newcastle, so when he comes for dinner I make sure I have both in the fridge, and everyone is happy.

What I mean is that while for you poker is an important thing, for her it's just fun, let her enjoy it the way she likes it. If you cant stand seeing her play like that, move to another table, she's a big girl and can handle it.

I remember my ex husband nagging me about some silly things back in the day. Believe me, that sucks the life out of you.

Why don't you just leave her alone? It's not like she's always nagging at you about the fantasy content of your masturbation sessions.

Any suggestions on how I can get her to see the light

[/ QUOTE ]

No. You are doomed to fail and make both of you miserable. Give up, don't play with her, don't ask how she did, just let her do it how she wants.
