Quads on the turn online 30/60
Six handed 30/60. I had pocket sixes in the big blind. UTG is very loose.
UTG raised, the next player folded, cutoff cold called, button reraised, SB called, I called, UTG capped, everyone called. Five to the flop for 20SB. Flop 633 with two spades. I checked, UTG bet, cutoff called, button raised, SB folded, everybody called. Four to the turn for 14BB. Turn was the case six. Everybody checked to the button, who bet. Everybody called. Four to the river for 18BB. River was a seven. I bet, UTG called, cutoff raised, button folded, I 3-bet, UTG called, button capped, and everyobdy called. Comments on all streets appreciated. |

[/ QUOTE ] you would hae kicked the SH*T out of yourself if the river was an A/K. you have to learn to bet your strong hands into big hands. they clearly have hands they like and all of'em dont have AK or AQ so they likely have pairs which is exactly what you want them to have on a 6336 board. since you checked teh flop (which id still probably bet and call any bets back and bet the turn) you gotta bet the turn. if the last raise on the turn came on direct left THEN id consider calling and c'ring the river. -Barron |

Turn was the case six. Everybody checked to the button [/ QUOTE ] Pretty dangerous, don't you think? If the button whimpes out, it's a disaster. |

Yeah I agree I should have bet the turn.
What about the flop? |

Re: Quads on the turn online 30/60
Shorthanded... the call preflop is close... but i would still make the call. Especially, if the UTG player is as LAG as you say. You played the flop fine... Clearly the button loves his hand.. and you should lead the turn to possibly get 3 bets in...

Re: Quads on the turn online 30/60
I can see arguments for either betting the flop or taking heros line here. It somewhat depends on the UTG. I would hate to bet the flop have UTG raise and blow out the rest of the field. On the other hand the button really likes his hand and maybe someone has 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]'s so you might get oodles of bets in on the flop. You can decide on how you want to play the turn based upon the flop action. I think that I would have been sorely tempted to bet the flop.
But since UTG did not put in the last raise on the flop, you really have to bet the turn as your relative position to the button is awful. |
