American Idol thread for week of 5/17

I start with the idol forums and television without pity forums to find the early rumors and then try to confirm them through google, etc (often the early rumors are wrong). Often confirmation will come through the entertainment tonight website or through local fox TV affiliates. For example I knew Carrie was going to do Man I feel like a woman a few days ago thanks to KOTV in Tulsa OK

Anyways, I thought Bo won the night hands down. Satisfaction was probably his weakest spot, but it was still decent. I thought Carrie was weak in the middle of her middle song (I didn't catch the name) but she did pretty good with Cryin and Man I feel like a woman. Vonzell's first song was rough, but thought she did very well with her second and third songs so overall Carrie and Vonzell were probably about equal tonight.

If there is really only a 1% difference between the three contestants the extra phone lines are going to favor Bo and Carrie, so most likely Vonzell will be leaving tomrrow (especailly since she had the weakest song of the night with her first number, IMHO).

It's seems the wsex market thinks carrie is a lock for the final. I don't think this is the case...am I alone in this opinion.

I think a carrie/bo final is very liikely at this point...not guaranteed though, there's a small chance we could see an upset.

If I took the last 4-5 performances of carrie and vonzel. I think vonzel is the clear winner.

I think carrie is more talented vocally but vonzel is more entertaining...also it appears to me that carrie has been stagnating while vonzel is on the upswing. I say she's a dog to make the final but not a big one.

Why the hell is Carrie a favorite over Bo? Are they watching a different show than I am? I couldn't resist and had to put some money on Bo after seeing the current odds. Put a little on Vonz too, as she just needs to get lucky and survive for a 3-1 or 4-1 increase. I think her odds are better than that.

i think vonzell is a much better performer than most people on these forums give her credit for. not only is she extremely talented, her music is closer to what is in trend right now, than the other 2 performers. i definitely think that she may make the finals over carrie.
